Quick update: Made it through to Round 2 of the recent NYC Midnight 100-Word Microfiction Challenge. (I wrote about my Round 1 experience here.) There were over 6,900 entries for Round 1 and 1,650 have advanced so while this is pretty cool, I expect things will just get tougher in this next round.

I received some excellent feedback from the judges and I’m going to try to incorporate some of the things I learned last time around as I work through Round 2. 🤞
